Saved searches: get an e-mail when a file you need appears

Saved searches. The catalogue grows by thousands of files every week, and following it by hand is hard. So a search can be saved, and you get an e-mail when something new turns up for it.

How it works: sign in and search, for instance for your village or a surname. If you like, narrow it with the filters (archive, place, kind of document, years) and press “Save search” next to the number of results. Once a day we check saved searches and send a letter when new files are found, when a file in the results has been digitised, or when we learn that the archive does not issue it. The link in the letter opens only what is new.

The same letter brings changes to the files in your collections: a digital copy, a fond's storage closed, other researchers' reports on issuing. Saved searches and letters can be switched off in your account or with one link in the letter itself. The free plan keeps one saved search, the Researcher plan as many as you like.
